About Me

Humble. As I gain in knowledge and wisdom making sure I share myself. The world needs positive Brothers setting the standard for what’s good and right. Keeping God first and manifesting the best aspects of my dreams. Living life to the fullest, and being mindful of the shoulders of those I stand upon: the ancestors are watching and guiding me. I am only human – I am a man, I am going to make mistakes .Ultimately, I have to decide what is good for me, and that is with any decision I make. Life is about choices; certain choices lead us down certain roads. Regardless, I enjoy the journey of life and make as many good choices as I can. Remembering, there is no such thing as failure; just a learned experiences from what choices have been made. “”To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment” Ralph Waldo Emerson www.mjhustla.wordpress.com www.mjhustla2009.wordpress.com michael_d_johnson@hotmail.com

"IT WOULD BE A DREAM TO SIGN TO DEFJAM" - MJ HUSTLA

You probably wonder why I do not have a Record Deal? Well, are you the reason? Are you probably wondering why your are/or are not the reason? Check me out...
Why are most Record Labels lacking funding to sign Artist? Perhaps people are downloading mp3's instead of buying. I just baught four of Jay-Z's newest to hit Best Buy. I do like the D.O.A (Death Of Autotune). I tried to give away the other three during a giveaway but nobody won - so I took them back to Best Buy. I could have kept them - but will buy more Jay-Z on 9-11-09 when the Album pops in the store.

Why do I still go to Best Buy and other stores to buy muzik? I would want a fan, artist and buyer period to do the same instead of downloading mp3's. It cost money to make muzik and in return when someone steals our muzik - it makes it that much harder for us as artist to keep putting our muzik in the streets and trying to make a living.
I tell people all the time that if you rap to get paid - sorry. If you rap to make a living - sorry. I can definitely tell you that if muzik is not your passion, you will probably end up losing yourself in the hype and still be broke.

At one point of time - I left College after an Internship seeking to take over the World. I found out that music was not going to pay every b
ill I had. Let me give you some quick math. If I went to Best Buy and baught around four-hundred blank cds. Duplicated them with my most recent recordings and sold them for five-dollars each. That would be a nice amount of money right. Now deduct gas, food, and any automobile expenses that may come up - in addition to sliding one-hundred bucks to the side incase buying more cds is/was an option.

At any rate, when the end of the day comes - fans have your muzik. You have enough money to eat tomorrow. Okay! Reloaded. You did not have enough money to go back to the studio. So what do you do now? Well, I have found ways to make things easier for me - - - I have did what no one else has probably done in a while. I have four studios centered in the midwest that I can go to with a phone call. I have been to many places that Duplicate - but ROM SQUARED has served my needs and as long as I am growing personally and professionally, I will not leave.
